I liked her – she was funny.
However she was less popular with my fellow daubers. Much time was spent arranging the small ineffectual electric heaters, like radio antennae, trying to tune into to her illusive temperature requirements. There were frequent complaints that her pose was never quite the same as it was the previous week, or the previous hour, or even five minutes ago. I didn't really care about that too much – I thought she was fab.

I'd bought some gold paint for a Christmas Card competition that had taken place the week before. For one reason or another I couldn't make it that day but I was determined to use it in some way – any way.
I decided to create a mash up of those lurid, black-velvet nudes of the seventies, with a swirling "optical art" background (rendered in red and gold) and topped off with an
