| Model: Esther |
I was clearing out an over stuffed cupboard when, in a dark and dusty corner, I came across a neglected old bag full of paints – hey, I remember this stuff!
Why not drop by at the old scout hut for old time's sake?
In the nine months I'd been away the session fee had gone up by 20% and the sandwiches and tea had doubled in price, but it was exactly the same as I'd left it – same old faces, same old carpet remnants, same old wobbly light stands.
Having arrived a little late there was no other vantage point other than directly behind the model – no face, no legs, and only one arm – hey ho!
As you can see from the above I didn't exactly shine – I was rusty and spent much of the time wondering what I was doing there. At least the execution was comparatively swift, painting directly onto self adhesive vinyl and then pasting it onto a prepared piece of packing board. I lazily drew the menacing easels with a laundry marker over the not quite dry paint.
It's not great. The preparatory sketch was better... well... funnier.

SO... Will I go back next year? I DON'T KNOW! Maybe...
